About The Producer
Berthe Nyiransengimana, a widowed Rwandan coffee producer, took over her family's 2-hectare farm after her husband's death, inheriting 300 coffee trees. She transitioned from working in commerce, where she faced challenges as a woman providing advances to other producers. Berthe then focused on expanding her own coffee production, growing her farm from 300 to 4000 trees. She now aims to double her tree count with additional financing.
